After years of living outside, a gentle cat ran into a friendly person who let him in and showed him the good life.

A thick coated street cat appeared only in a neighborhood last winter. A neighbor recognized him since the summer when they had seen him preparing the food.
Tom Cat, Ewok, was a bit nervous, but he didn’t have a bad bone in his body. He let his search engine take him and seemed relieved to have a warm bed and a complete bowl of food. His fur was tangled and entangled with a crunchy patch on his back pulling his skin.
When the orphelins Montreal (a rescue of animals) were contacted, they immediately received it with open arms.
“Once we took Ewok, the little teddy bear, in our care, went to the veterinary clinic,” the rescue shared.
They carefully cut all tangles and knots, calming it with gentle pets and encouraging words. Although he was afraid, he remained calm and cooperative, letting veterinarian attend to his needs.
It was estimated that I was three years old. His leg pads were hardened by trekking through snow. “The veterinarian also discovered that he had an old lesion in the ribs that had not been cured properly, probably due to an accident during his time in the streets, although he did not cause any pain.”
A lovely reception family welcomed Ewok to his home, and his soft and sweet nature quickly shone.
“When he first arrived, he was lost, anxious and retired. But as soon as he began to socialize, his tender and gentle side emerged. Feeling much better, all he wanted to be loved.”
His eyes were constantly aqueous due to a condition called Entropion, where the eyelids curve inward, causing irritation and increasing the risk of infection.
Ewok underwent eyelid surgery to correct the problem. Even with a cone on for two weeks, it remained its sweet being, delighting to be fed with spoon and absorbing all the attention and extra pampering.
“After enduring such a hard life in the streets, he was more than deserving of the best attention.”
Ewok is a gentle and quiet soul that thrives in the routine. It may seem reserved at the beginning, but some scritches are the key to your heart. He loves the chin and back, stretching his legs and snoring with delight every time.
He likes to rest in his hammock next to the window, enjoying the sun. But at the time he sees his adoptive mother, he stands up to greet her, leaning for a hug.
“He is starting to show his playful side at night when he is calm in the house. You can hear him digs his toys and chase them.”
He is still scared around sudden movements, but once he feels safe, he becomes a total mistake of hugs, caressing his people and begging for more affection. Ewok is silent and rarely masters, but he compensates for him with his powerful snoring.
Ewok has embraced other cats in the house as a true gentleman, respecting his space and enjoying his company. “He gets along with them, but prefers to spend time with his humans.”
His spongy legs make cookies every time he is caressed, and his rumbling snoring filled the room.
After challenging the streets almost all his life, Ewok is now safe with a affectionate foster family, who lives a life without pain, and has never looked back.
