When the ears are forwardYour kitten is interested and alert. This is a safe and happy position often seen during the game or when they are tune in the environment.
But if the ears begin to turn aroundThey are scanning for sound. The coons are known for having an extremely sensitive audition, so even the fridge or birds can trigger this.
Side earsOften called “plane ears”, they are a sign that your cat is overestimulated or uncertain. It is common during preparation or caressing when they have had enough.
And when the ears are backward? That is a defensive position, a sign that your cat is scared or annoying and needs space.
