Shared by the Instagram user @Soccercatmom, the video follows the toiler sequels of the death of a small host kitten called Pepper. Published on April 15, the adoptive mother explains in the subtitle: “24 hours have passed since we lost our Foster Gatito Pepper.” In the video, Pepper’s brother, Salt, is seen looking under the sofa cushions, crying in silence and clearly confused by the sudden absence of his brother. It is a raw and emotional scene that many spectators described as “absolutely overwhelming.” The adoptive mother added: “Salt continues to look for and crying and is horrible.”
However, salt is not afflicted alone. Another cat called Poppy, who had been closely linked with pepper during his time in the host house, intervenes to comfort the salt. In the video, Poppy prepares it gently, watches it when I sneak out and snuggle at his side at night. “(She) has not left the side of Salt,” explained the adoptive mother, calling Poppy’s devotion “the most magical I have witnessed.”
Two weeks later, on April 29, the adoptive mother shared a moving follow -up video of the adoption of Salt for his niece. It shows the final moments of Salt with their adoptive mother when they share an crying goodbye. “Technically I can drive and see him tomorrow if he wanted … and maybe he,” she says. “But why is it still so difficult?”

They can exhibit signs of pain, such as searching, vocalizing or showing altered behavior such as eating less or retiring more.
