Sinbad the survivor embarked on an incredible trip from a state of negligence, loaded with severely tangled skin, to find a home forever full of love and care. His story began in a basement in Illinois, where a public service worker noticed a cat in trouble, dragging what looked like a tangled leather carpet. Chicago’s anti-cruelty society intervened to rescue Sinbad after the elderly owner, unable to take care of himself or Sinbad, delivered it.

Sinbad’s Persian race required regular preparation, which he had not received for years, which led to more than 5 pounds of tangled skin that locked him. The team of anti-cruelty society worked meticulously to free him from his hairy prison, during which Sinbad showed incredible patience and grace.

After his rescue, Sinbad faced challenges with his health and appetite, but Elliot Serrano, who took him home for a weekend, quickly became his permanent tutor. Sinbad’s trust in Elliot flourished, marking the beginning of his inseparable link.
